NEW – OAK SUFFOLK LATCH
We have Suffolk Latches in our range in Iron, Pewter finish and brass. We are delighted to be able to introduce Oak Suffolk Latches. In our own house we have oak planked doors and have had these latches on our own doors for over 15 years. At last, we have been able to source these and they are all handcrafted in England.
Suffolk latches are the traditional latch for a plank or cottage door. The main advantages of oak over the other finishes we offer are:
– They are beautifully shaped and much easier on the hand than any of the others-tactile!
– They are a bit different and have been quite a talking point in our own home over the years.
– They are supplied without any treatment, so you are able to stain or wax in the same finish as your door. If your doors are new oak and you are going to oil them, then just oil the latch too.
Team an Oak Suffolk latch with a pair of iron t-hinges and your door will look lovely. Latches can also be made, subject to timber availability, in reclaimed pine. The wooden latch comes in 4 parts and with all the fixing screws and fittings required.
Also in the oak door furniture range we offer a wonderful range of hooks, including a single, double hat & coat hook, a rather ingenious space saving swivel hook and we can also make oak hooks on a backplate. There is also an oak pull for doors which do not require a latch.
These come highly recommended!
