PRUDENTIAL 100 SPONSORED CYCLE RAISING MONEY FOR SCLERODERMA
On 10th August I will be riding in the Prudential 100 cycling event, part of Boris Johnson’s weekend of cycling in central London. Along with 24,000 others I will be cycling 100 miles. The route follows the Olympic road race course, starting in Olympic Park and finishing on the Mall. We go out through Richmond Park and then out into Surrey for some challenging climbs.
I am raising funds for Scleroderma, which is the disease my husband Martin Foley died from last November. All the family are raising funds with their own sponsored events and this is my effort. I am fit and ready to go and really looking forward to the day. To be part of such a huge charity event and to ride on closed roads will be pleasure. It will be an emotional day for me, but one I hope I will always remember and I will wear my new Scleroderma Society cycle shirt with pride and for Martin.
