We are often asked the difference between the above two finishes which we offer on some lines of door furniture and window furniture.

It is quite hard in digital photos to show the difference but basically the nickel finish is shiny silver and chrome is a bit whiter in colour and more mirror like.

The chrome is popular in Art Deco Door Furniture and window furniture, as this would have been an authentic finish for the time. The Art Deco Door Knobs and Art Deco Door Handles are the most popular lines.

All of the Door Furniture and window fittings we sell are available in polished nickel whereas there is only a selected range available in chrome. Chrome finish is available to special order with a lead time of 2-3 weeks.

If you need help deciding please contact us as we do have some sample discs of the finishes. Also see the photos of our Art Deco Door Knobs and Art Deco Door Handles below which may help to see the difference. The door handles in the left hand picture show polished chrome and brass. The other two shots, one of door handles and the other a single door knob, are in polished nickel.
